We know we love green things like money, golf courses, and grapes. What we need to realize is that green is no longer just a color, It’s a way of life. Protecting our planet, pockets and bodies are part of this movement. Here is a list of what you can do to throw a kid friendly “green” party.
1. Take it to the green….grass that is. I am one to think that an outdoor party is always better. Fresh air, easy clean-up, and outside games create a green time all around.
2. Give Green. Know one needs junk. Give Greenly, as in a plant for a child to watch grow or money so they can buy something that they really want instead and a toy won’t be wasted.
3. Eat organic. Organic is always a purer form of food. Try these cakes mixes out that are more healthy then comparable mixes. Read my review here.
4. Serve finger foods like sandwiches and when necessary use dishes that can be washed.
5. When it comes to games use your imagination. Kids love to use theirs. Sometimes even more then hitting a pinata stuffed with candy. The best part is an imagination is free.
6. Invite and thank the green way. An awesome idea is a digital picture that is taken with the gift that was used and emailed to them. What better way to say thank you then with a smile on the face?
7. Streamers add color. Use biodegradable decorations that brake down easy.
8. Green can be efficient. If the event is not planned for outside plan for the brightest time of the day. This saves energy.
9. Savor the taste of food. Save food for leftovers or put in a compost pile.
10. As a partying gift give cups away instead of goodie bags. Cups can save on paper products at the party, goodie bags following the party and be used 4 many days after the party is way over.

I am Elizabeth, and this here is my party planning frontier. I am not from the west but wish I was so I sometimes talk with a southern-drawl. (We can all dream right?) I am actually from Cape May, NJ and love to party. You can lean more about me
