You may want to read/watch part 1 of our back to school party series.
I am ecstatic at how this is working. Instead of stressing about school we are focusing on the party and have him get excited about his first day. I am so excited that he is excited.
We started working on decorations today. We plan to make our kitchen look like a cafeteria. (as much as possible). The kids had a fun time with paint and glitter and it was just one more thing to cross off our list.
We plan on using all of our stock of lunch supplies for our centerpiece for the table. (My biggest tip for any party-think within the theme and work with what you have) I hope this brings back memories and our guests will be flooded with fond memories of school and it will make for lovely dinner conversation.
For a table cloth we are actually going to line with art paper and make individual placemats with lined paper.
We also have made individual name tags for each person attending to place where they are sitting.
Red apples, notebooks, encyclopedias and other school books will be near the ice bucket and beverages.
We have 2 days leading up to the celebration or 2 days to fret over school. We are choosing to celebrate.

I am Elizabeth, and this here is my party planning frontier. I am not from the west but wish I was so I sometimes talk with a southern-drawl. (We can all dream right?) I am actually from Cape May, NJ and love to party. You can lean more about me
