I was a little thrown back by the task on what to make for a new years party. I wanted, like always, to have a themed party with a co-ordinating menu. This party was no different. Wisp Kiss had inspired me (not sponsored me-I did this because I believe in the product and the convenience of it. I feel that sometimes for moms on the go a toothbrush/toothpick in the purse may come in handy ever now and then) I wanted to create a romantic evening for adults that with the ability for kids to be present. I gave the option of beer and wine but made other plans as well for beverages that my guests seemed to like just as much.
Beverages-
Pucker-up Lemonade (thanks for the name PlusSizeMommy) with Raspberries
(I basically bought a lemonade mix and dumped in frozen raspberries for a splash of color and to keep it chilled)
This was a hit with all of the kids and the adults!
Love Potion #9 (warm apple Cider served in a crock-pot with ladel)
Boxed Wine
Beer
I decided romance Inspired desserts were fun and midnight kiss theme oriented for our New Year’s Party was the way to go. After all, chocolate is an aphrodisiac and nothing is more romantic then eating sweets with your sweethearts.
First up was a Minty Winters Kiss Parfait
Make chocolate Pudding
Mix together
1/4 tsp. peppermint extract
1 cup thawed COOL WHIP Whipped Topping
2 1/2 cups sugar
6 drops green food coloringLayered in a wine glass.
Top with a rasberry, mint leaf, and chocolate shavings. I even stuck a candy cane in there to be more mint festive.
I made mini cupcakes. They weren’t just any mini cupcakes though. I topped them with Pepperment patties . The frosted them with vanilla icing and sprinkled crushed candy canes on top. Bit size minty sweatness surprises! (big hit)
I also made Angel food cake.
Heart shapped jello jigglers.
Rice crispies in the shape of lips.
What are you planning on serving at your New Years event. Big or Small I want to hear about it!

I am Elizabeth, and this here is my party planning frontier. I am not from the west but wish I was so I sometimes talk with a southern-drawl. (We can all dream right?) I am actually from Cape May, NJ and love to party. You can lean more about me
