I think Friday weddings are great, the only downside is you usually have to take off from work or you get home real late, but at least your whole weekend is not turned upside down because of a wedding. I went to a Sunday night wedding a couple of weeks ago and at first I was upset because the wedding was at 4pm on a Sunday plus it was out of town, but we had a great time and after the wedding was over I totally forgot that is was a Sunday night. i did take off from work on Monday but if the wedding was on a friday would have done the same thing.

Well we got married on St. Patricks Day...the story behind that day was my husband and I got engaged on Thanksgiving and after Christmas I found out I was pregnant (oops) Well my grandmother and my husband wanted us to get married before the baby was born and I kept saying I am not going rush to plan a wedding just because of the baby...Well everyday for two weeks they would call me at work and at home and hound me to get married and I kept saying no...we will get married after the baby was born and than finally my grandmother called my husband Mark and told him that St.Patricks day was on a Saturday and how perfect would it be since we both have Irish in us if we got married on St. Paddy's Day. So he told me what my grandmother had said and she had convienced him that we did not need to do all the wedding stuff, that we should just have a small wedding which she would pay for and we could all wear green and after the baby is born I could plan my big day...And than the words that I will never forget came across the phone lines " Don't you want your grandmother to see you get married, I don't know how long I have left" and my answer was "FINE". So we got married in Wildwood Crest on the beach. I wore a sea green dress and my husband wore a dark green shirt and silk tie. My close family members were there and 9 years later we have two beautiful daughters..Still waiting to have my big wedding, but now after losing my grandmother a few years ago I am glad we got married, because I will always have that great memory of how we got married on St. Paddy's Day 2001 and I know my husband will never forget that day...
