Winnie The Pooh Baby Shower

Winnie The Pooh Baby Shower

The classic stories loved by all is Winnie the Pooh and would be a perfect theme for a baby shower.  Whether it is the classic original Winnie the Pooh with pastel colors or the Disney version with Vibrant Colors with Winnie the Pooh Bear. A fan of Disney, Winnie the Pooh would find a Baby Shower with this theme adorable.

Invitations-

“Tut, tut it looks like rain” says Christopher Robin in Chapter 2
But on x/xx/xx a shower is planned by the friends of baby -last name here- and Winnie the Pooh
-Mommy’s name- has a rumbley in in her Tumbly
And it’s a baby that’s for sure
please be their by 2:00pm to suprise her when she walks in the door
She is registered at The -babiesRus- Store
Where: The Center Plaza Hotel
595 south in
The Hundred Acre Woods
Rabbit will be serving a garden lunch
Pooh will be sure to share his honey
Tiggers don’t like honey, and will “bounce” in with some goodies too!
Please Rsvp 555×5555 to Winnie the Pooh (Elizabeth Norton)

I only suggest this company because I have used them myself. Vista Print is fast and efficient. I design and all they do is print. LOVE THEM

Decorations-
If you are going with the Disney version go with the vibrant reds and yellows. Balloons Galore, and Streams from Ceiling to floor.

Clusters of small green helium balloons stung through brown shipping tubes can create and awesome tree like center piece. Double sided tape can keep them clustered together. Paper Oriental lamps can be a perfect start for hanging beehives wrapped in layered white or tan streamers.

Winnie the pooh books should be the center piece scattered to bring back memories of the stories to your guests.  It will be a fun time.

In the side of the room, set up a section for the mommy like a child’s room.  Every stuffed animal would be fantastic to place on a rocker (all of which could be a gift and the mommies chair for opening the gifts up)

Favors:

The best Favors would be something anyone could use.  Honey Candles or Lip gloss, tied with a note with a quote from Winnie the Pooh.  Here are some other ideas below.

Pink Pink and more Pink: Pink baby shower

Every woman dreams of one day having her very own baby girl. So when that time comes, we cannot think of anything but one thing… PINK!

And if someone could hear our inner monologues as we plan for our little bundle of pink-ness…. they would hear a chant with a very familiar tune ..

“Rhinestones, and Lace and Bows – O My!”

It was only 1 year ago, I was helping plan my Pink “Sprinkle” (a shower taken down a notch… or not.) Here are a few things we did to spread the word

that “ITS A GIRL”.

*

Invitations must go out…. *

It was a simple 5×7 invitation with a little baby girl being brought in by the stork in a (ofcourse) PINK blanket.

The wording said as follows:

Pins, Diapers, Bottles Galore

(mothers name) and (fathers name) are having one more

Big (sister/brother) has plenty to share

This is only a “sprinkle” to show that we care

Please join us to celebrate before baby is due

Please sprinkle with pink and please NO blue.

*

Next, Registry.*

I had lots of stuff I could recycle from my son, but to put a little girl in anything (GASP) blue?!? no way!

So immediately I ran to register for all covers available!

Boppy Seat Cover, Car seat cover (you can find some super girly ones through ebay!), pink, pink, pink, pink, pink! … (and maybe a hint of purple;) )

*Then it was the Decor!*

We decorated with lots of pink balloons, one HUGE one right by the door of a baby bottle that read IT’S A GIRL! (in case anyone wasn’t sure)

All party ware (plates, cups, napkins) were pink… easy to find at your local party (or Dollar) store.

There were not one but TWO Diaper cakes with all things girl decorating it.

On each table, the centerpieces were dresses stuffed and put on a pedestal, along with candy dishes of pink and white M&Ms.

We had a large chair decorated in pink streamers for me to sit in to open my gifts.

The cake matched the baby’s bedding set which was a soft pink and lavender with beautiful butterflies.

As an additional snack, we made chocolate covered pretzels that were ofcourse drizzled with pink chocolate as well.

*Favors!*

For favors we picked out these adorable manicure set that was in a flip flop case that was pink with black polka dots.

Can you think of anything more girly than a mani-pedi set?

All in all, it was a great shower.  My daughter got lots of pink,… infact SO much pink that when planning her christening-

we decided her signature color would be TIFFANY BLUE!
